The city Branch of Revision seems to have messed with records to conceal that it was disregarding nearby regulation and a government court request by keeping prisoners in consumption pens longer than a day, advocates said Monday.
Reports got by the Legitimate Guide Society through a freely available reports demand, first revealed by New York Concentration, appear to show the DOC changing the appearance times for something like 17 prisoners in June to cause it to show up as though they hadn't been in an admission cell there for over 24 hours.
In one of the records, a Rikers Island prisoner was recorded as having shown up at 7:30 p.m. June 14, however at 7:36 p.m. the following day, when he ought to have been moved to a lodging office, his appearance time was changed to three hours sooner, evidently so the time wouldn't appear to be in infringement.
"These progressions frequently happened as a recently conceded individual in guardianship moved toward their 24 hour clock lapse, or some of the time following the termination," the Leading body of Revision told the admission office's superintendent June 16 in the wake of detecting the supposed altered records, as per a duplicate of an email delivered by Lawful Guide.
"Certain individuals in care had their guardianship start time shifted on various occasions over the direction of a few hours," the email states.
